French girl needs help

could you correct these extracts of my essay :

--------------------------------------------------------1st extract :
(it talks about steve biko, a human rights leader in south africa, who is dead and donald woods, a journalist, who decides to investigate about his death)

"As far as Woods is concerned, he decides to make discreet inquiries.
Biko’s death which is, according to the government due to a hunger strike, is in reality an assassination.
So, the journalist decides to leave the country and publish a book revealing the truth but he is unfortunately arrested at the airport and put in restricted freedom.
He is gradually discouraged and tempted to abandon his plans; but little by little the woods ‘lifestyle is going down into the underworld: they receive anonymous threats, parcel bombs and vandal visits.
Instead of prompting him to keep quiet, woods decides for good, quite the reverse, to leave South Africa with his family by all possible means..."

-----------------------------------------------2nde extract : (this is about my impression)

"At times, there was also some suspense in the film (for example, when Mrs. Wood is receiving threats) and I find it’s very good because it retained a lot my attention.
So during the film I was affected by many feelings and that’s why I like it."
