Hi,
Could you tell me the difference between these three terms?
Should I use ‘freight’ or ‘shipment’ when talking about trucks transporting goods and about forwarding agents taking care of them?
Thank you.
A shipment is made when an originating company (a shipper) sends stuff all together (a shipment) to a destination. g. Amazon tracks thousands of shipments every day.

Freight is a general term for all the goods that are carried on a cargo ship or a freight train.
The ship will be loaded with its freight at the port of Tobago, and then unloaded at Rotterdam a week later

The term shipping originally referred to transport by sea but is extended in American English, it has been extended to refer to transport by land or air (International English: "carriage") as well.
