PBI: Just a little tiny question, what does "unless othewise stated" here mean?

Means that the hotel is clear and free unless somebody states that it's taken by someone else by legal means?

That's the general idea.

Although 'normal' is hard to define.

It might mean eg 'having no mortgage' or 'having a mortgage'.

Along side Clive's answer, "free and clear" means the state of owning whole ownership of the property without owing anyting to the bank.

This sentence has potential flaws in terms of legal clarity of the meaning. "Valued as" is understood to mean " how much it is worth
