Free advice on my sponsorship letter

Hello everyone, my name is Nina Ross and I am a recording artist.
I have completed a sponsorship letter but I need someone to look over it for any errors. If someone could help me, I would be eternally grateful.....

Nina has dedicated herself to become a top rated Hip-Hop artist in the South region. And being an independent artist in today's current financial state can be overwhelming.

Our purpose is to obtain sponsorship in order to continue promotion and cover expenses such as studio time, cds, posters, etc.

Among the growing lists of achievements, Nina has been nominated for Female Mixtape Artist of the year for the 6th Annual Southern Entertainment Awards (March 19-22, 2009). In order to both promote and prepare for the awards show, we are in need of both monetary and in-kind sponsorship.
