Frankenstein

Hello all

I am at the stage of finishing reading the novel "frankenstien" with my ESL intermediate class and I thought of teaching the movie as well because my kids have really enjoyed the novel and are looking forward to the movie after finding out that there is one.

BUT my concern is that is there any version of the movie that is rated PG?

I have done some search and realised that the new one(2014) "I frankenstien" is PG but is there any other older ones that are PG?

Generally, any American movie made before 1968 is ~ PG.

I rather imagine that the earlier versions are the best. But your students may be at an age where color versions are more appealing.

Keep in mind that the PG rating is often not because of ***-violence-nudity, but rather because of general maturity of content. It's when you get to the R and X ratings that administrators need to be concerned.

Yah I agree with you, I spoke to the school and they agreed that I can show the 1931 version because I belive that it has more meaning than the new one that is out.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it.
