Framing Sentences III
I would like to know whether the following sentences are correct (in terms of the usage of the underlined words ) and whether the words in the bracket can be replaced by the underlined word :
01.The income tax official carried a permit to search the house. (licence)
02.On the pretext that he was the young child's guardian the kidnapper made off with the child.
03.He cannot concentrate for very long; his attention is easily diverted.
04.His version of the story does not concur with mine.
05.The infuriated father said he would never speak to his son again but he relented when the boy fell ill.
