Fragment?

So I'm making a renting contract and I keep making a fragment. This is the sentence:
I, ________________________ promise to listen to the rules of my landlord and follow them to the best of my abilities.

I was just wondering if this is acceptable.

It is a little oddly framed. I, ______________________, will adhere to all rules and regulations issued by the lessor.

Hello, It is better to say something like this:/ I, _____ agree to follow the rules set by my landlord to the best of my ability. the other way is redundant. It is not necessary to say listen and follow. I hope this helps. Jerseyjoe

Hi,

As a landlord, I would certainly not include 'to the best of my abilities'. That gives the tenant an easy excuse to ignore the rules.
