Fractions

Hi everybody,

I would like to ask whether fractions come with a plural noun or not?

For example: ten and eight tenths slices of apple or ten and eight tenths slice of apple? (10.8)

Thank you very much in advance

If you cut a pizza into 8 equal parts, each part would be one slice.
Two slices would be two-eighths of the pizza, or one quarter of the pizza.
The remainder, six slices, is six-eighths or three-quarters of the pizza.
