1. Is this sentence correct:
"The course gave me a good FOUNDATION of the English langugae."
2. And can 'foundation' be used in plural, in the same context as above?
For instance:
"A language school can just offer you the FOUNDATIONS of a language."
" The usual pattern in this sense is "give/offer etc. a foundation in ~". The plural in the second version seems unusual, and may appear incorrect.
