Fossil fuels, such as coal, oil and natural gas, are used in many countries. The use of alternative sources of energy, including wind and solar power, is encouraged. Is this trend is a positive or negative development?

Today, we need a huge demand for sources. As a matter of fact, the sources of fossil fuels are running out day by day. From my perspective, I strongly believe that human beings need to use the renewable sources of energy thanks to their natural merits.

My first consideration is that the renewable energy is very plentiful and sustainable; therefore, it will never run out. This allows industries remain their operation effectively. However, some people claim that the use of renewable energy is not a feasible solution for this situation for this situation. Compared to those produced by renewable energy, traditional fossil fuel generators create larger quantities of electricity. In contrast, I hold my belief that government should provide funding for renewable energy as its facilities generally require less maintenance than traditional generators, and this will reduce costs of operation.

In the second place, when government allocates resources to exploit alternative sources of energy, including wind, solar power factories can reduce the amount of fossil energy they use daily, having a balance of many different power sources. Nevertheless, other people voice their opinion of reliability of supply. Alternative energy sources are dependent on the weather. Regarding solar power, there is no more electricity created in the rainy days. When it comes to hydro generators, we cannot make energy if it is in long-lasting drought season. In my opinion, we should not overlook the fact that alternative energies protect the environment and human life. Specifically, using them does not release harmful gases or other chemical pollutants, this leads minimal effect on environment and ecosystems.

To summary, basing on advanced technology, we should use the alternative energy to meet the social needs nowadays. Furthermore, in the course of exploiting energy, the alternative energy’s benefits indicate them deserve to replace the traditional ones.
