Fossil Fuels

Fossil fuels have become the focus of the people’s concern. It is widely believed that a cut-down on daily consumption of fossil fuels is highly necessary in the present-day society. I certain that I agree with this view to some extent.

It is irrefutable that fewer fossil fuels will tackle some vital issues. Fuels are the main contributor to global warming, climate change and environment pollution because burning gas and oil for transportation or industry produces tons of carbondioxide, which is the main component of greenhouse gases. Researchers showed that in recent years, the number of fossil fuels used by Chinese has reached millions tons, putting the polluted status of this country in the alarming level. As a result, these not only lead to some strange phenomenons such as melting of polar ice caps or sea level rising but they also have affected seriously on the survival of humans, animals and plants. Besides, fossil fuels are the non-renewable resource which take thousands years to form. Therefore, If governments carry out some rights to limit the consumption, it will save a large number of these fossil fuels.

However, reducing fossil fuels may bring some drawbacks when fossil fuels are becoming more and more necessary to maintain human’s life. Less fuels will make the global economy be worse than people can imagine. Meanwhile, some alternative powers such as nuclear, wind power, solar power,… need a long time to be popular because of the weather conditions and their prices. Accordingly, the best way to solve this problem is that the governments should give some temporary laws. Residents should use public transport instead of private vehicles, especially in the peak hours and Companies or factories should use clean resources and have the best treatment, for example.

To sum up, it seems to me that global community should have the method to reduce the number of fossil fuels in many countries, which will bring a green planet for us.
