Grammar

for/on/ during + olidays

Hi everyone,
can anyone help me understand the use of the prepositions before Holidays.
In the sentence:
"I always go to France FOR/DURING my summer holiday" can I also use the preposition ON
If "on" is wrong in this sentence why it's right in the following:
"I made notes on all these things on my holidays" . Can I also use DURING?
Thank you
Gio
