Former

In a resume, can you use ex-pilot or former pilot? What is the best way of expressing a former ocupation. Former soccer player? Former Presidente? etc.

Top answer

Yes, 'former', if you are writing some sort of brief sentence about your early life. A resume, however, normally has the occupations listed or tabulated chronologically under 'Work Experience', so the word 'former' and prefix 'ex-' are not relevant.
