Formal way of saying "Hope you're doing good"

Hi, well i had an interview earlier on last week. Then i send a thankyou email and so on but they didn't reply about the hiring decision although they had told me they will.

Now i wanted to inquire but i do not know how to start the email.

It's like normally i would start by saying hope ur'e doing great. I wanted to inquire.... etc
But it looks too frank, is there a formal way of saying the same or may be to say something else to start the email with??

Hi, If it were me, I wouldn't write again at all. If they want you, they'll tell you. But if you want to write, there is no need at all to start your email by expressing hope that the person is doing well.

  • Hi, If it were me, I wouldn't write again at all.
  • If they want you, they'll tell you.
  • But if you want to write, there is no need at all to start your email by expressing hope that the person is doing well.
  • That's for personal emails.

You should start your email with the reference of you interview e.g., This is in reference to my interview held on/dated so and so for the post of so and so.Further you may ask whatever you need to inquire.
