I personally would change it slightly. I don't think it's necessarily wrong, but it weirdly assigns the "honor" to the preparation of the paper, rather than stressing the supervision (which is the real honor). Also, it's usually a little clunky to use the word "paper" in back-to-back sentences. Also, "great" might be overkill. I would write:
