Formal letter to a university asking about requirements

I am in need of help trying to word my email to multiple universities.

Dear Madam/ Sir

My name is Daniel Goldman, I am a student at the British international college in (country), where I am studying the Cambridge curriculum and doing my As levels exams in May-June. The subjects I am taking are As level chemistry, physics, Extended mathematics, and English, I have also done and passed all my IGCSE which consist of Geography, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Extended Mathematics, English and Sociology. I am a holder of a Portuguese passport and my parents own property in Portugal. I am wanting to study electrical engineering at your university but I do not speak Portuguese fluently nor can I write. I wish to inquire about the following information:

  • What is the requirement for an As level student to do an electrical engineering course
  • I am wanting to know if you have English classes for electrical engineering courses at your university.

  • what is the equivalence of As level to Portuguese secondary education?
  • what are the requirements for an As level student to enter your university

I am looking forward to receiving your response.

Yours faithfully

Daniel Goldman
