FORMAL LETTER TO A FRIEND

Hi,

Can I write a formal letter to a friend saying sorry to him because I broke my friends camera which I have borrowed for my party. Also promise to buy him a new camera and end the letter with salutation "Yours Faithfully"? Because this letter is like saying sorry to a friend and compensating him. Thanks.

Hi, Can you use 'Yours Faithfully' when writing to my friend John (Dear John). I am a faithful friend and I promised to buy him a new camera cause I broke it at my party. I dont feel like using 'Your Sincerely' cause It would best suite when you are sincere in your actions and thoughts.
