Formal letter asking for information from a university

Hei I am wrting this letter to the University (University of Stavanger, Norway - UiS)to which I intend to apply next year. I'm not so good in writing those kind of formal letter so I really need help!! Is there someone can help me correct this if there were any mistake? I have some problems in explaining what I have to say.. I'm way a little too wordy in this letter I think.

"Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing you to request more information about the international admission to your school..

My name is Doan Vu and I am from Viet Nam. I came to Norway as an au pair after finishing high school in Vietnam. After quite a long time living and working I found it interesting in the study environment here and I wish to continue my higher education at your school.

I have read the school's official website but still have some doubts.

Firstly, the website stated that students from Vietnam must have 1 year in university in Vietnam. Would you mind indicating me if there is any demand for this one year? (about the scores, and whether it has to be the same major that I'm going to apply to at the UiS).

Secondly, I do not meet the Norwegian language requirements so I need to take the Norwegian Language and Culture programme which is designed for students without any basic knowledge about the language. But according to what I have read, I need to apply for this programme as well as a study programme taught in Norwegian intended for the following academic year "at the same time". Last week I have met personally with one of the teacher of the school and she explained that "at the same time" means I can not apply for the 1-year-programme alone, and have to fulfill the Norwegian language requirement at first. Those information sound contracdictory to me so I would be appreciate if you could tell me what requirements besides English proficiency that I need to fulfill to get admitted to the Norwegian Language and Culture programme.

Thirdly is about the visa problem. If I got admitted to your school, would I automatically get the four year visa for student or do I need to pass the full time Norwegian Language and Culture programme successfully to extend my visa to study in Bachelor's degree programme? Would I be withdrawed and had to go back to Vietnam if I failed the course?

Lastly I would be appreciate if you could explain for me about the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund and how can I get the study loan fun from there.
