Formal Email

Hi,

I was wondering if “It was nice meeting you for my interview last week on (date, i.e. 4th, 2nd. without month)” and “I’m really looking forward to an update” are correct or not and how else I can write them in a formal follow-up email.

PS: Should I use “the” before the date like, “on the 2nd”? Is it still correct without “the”?

Thank you,

Anonymous.
