formal email

Hi, I wanted to keep in touch with my old manager. so wanted to say something in the email..have no idea how to start the sentence, also tomm is holiday so wanted to say happy holiday, if anyone can give provide me a sample email

this is how i came up with then i m stuck in the middle,

Hi (manger),

Hope you are doing good. How is everyone at (company name). things are going well with me. just got used to my new job. how is summer going ? have a nice holiday tomm. \

if anyone can fix this in a good way of grammer and sentence please and thanks.
