Form of travelling in terms of vehicle

I know that travelling by plane is called "air travel" and travelling by cruise ships or any sort of ships is called "sea travel", but what about the type of travelling by all the on-land vehicles(cars, trains, any railway vehicles)?
Is it in-land travel?
And the reason that I'm asking this is because I really LOVE air travelling and I hate all the shuttle transport on any landway.

No I need a specific term for that noun. Can it be "overland" travel?
I want to fit it into the sentence "I choose the nearest airport to fly no matter the flying route, because I hate ____ travel."
With the latter most part being an object noun, of course:)
Thanks in advance!:)
