Which of these are correct:

Yeah I saw that. Then I assume only the use of 'had shown' is correct.
But the first two sentence are different than the second set of sentences. So you showed which one is correct in the first set, but in the second you did not. Do you mean that the same applies and the correct one is the middle one with 'had shown'?
