foreword vs introduction vs preface

Hi,

Is there a case when foreword(noun), introduction (noun) and preface (noun) (talking about book)have the same meaning and interchangeable?

If yes, please give me examples

If not, how can we distinguish them?

foreword is a short preface . They may be written by the author or by someone else. introduction is by the same author and makes part of the body of the book, thus different.
