Foreign languages and inline translations
A quick style question:
Say I want to quote Jacob Grimm's praise of Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jørgen Moe's Norwegian Folk Tales , followed by a translation of his words, how would I go about it, parenthesis-, quotation mark-, and italics-wise?
1. " die besten Märchen, die es gibt " ("the best fairy talesthere are")
2. die besten Märchen, die es gibt ("the best fairy tales thereare")
3. " die besten Märchen, die es gibt " (the best fairy talesthere are)
Or is there any other way you would recommend?
