I am preparing the November report to be considered in December.
I am reporting: "As of the end of November, the business unit was forecasting to overspend the annual budget by $2 million. The forecast overspend is being treated with remedial action."
Is the use of past tense in relation to the forecast figure correct, or can present tense be used as it is the November report? If past tense is appropriate, should the remedial action also be in past tense? thanks Lisa
