forbidding/forbidden

It was forbidding/forbidden to have sex in this society. Jay and Judy's liaison would get more absurd when they rented a room in the busy street. In a few weeks the police would find out soon. If they got caught, they would be killed.

Are they correct?

Thank you

Hello B/W It was forbidden. I don't think "absurd" is the word you are looking for. In a few weeks and soon don't belong in the same sentence - pick one or the other.
