Vocabulary

for "your" agreeing?

Should I write:

1. Thank you again for agreeing [to do so and so].

or

2.Thank you again for your agreeing [to do so and so].

I know that #1 is correct. But I'm wondering if #2 is also correct but more formal version.

I'm trying to be as formal as possible. So please let me know if #2 is grammatical and idiomatic (in formal contexts).

Sincerely,

You don't want this one. The 'you' in "Thank you" already makes it clear that 'you' are agreeing. Adding it again is redundant. Obviously, I don't thank you for something that someone else did.
