A company states its sales grew 29% last year. Is for you optional in the following response:

"We hope 2016 is an even better year for you."

It does not mean that the person being written to is also going to benefit (unless he is one of those shareholders). So, assuming this message is to the company owners, the hope being expressed is definitely directed at “you”.
