What do you call those prepositional collocations that usually goes together in terms of grammar like ''in the wake of'' '' ''in the name of '' '' for the sake of'' 'for the sole purpose of''?

Hello, Twix—and welcome to English Forums. Some of them are called phrasal prepositions: according to apart from because of by means of contrary to given that in addition to in front of in reference to in regard to instead of in spite of on account of on top of out of prior to pursuant to rather than with regard to with the exception of But I think longer ones may simply be collocated phrases including terminal preposition. There is no clear line, I think.

thank you, it's so frustrating not being able to find the right grammatical terms, i can't find them anywhere, i just want to find a site that has dozens groups of these, they seem very important in formal written language.
