For the [past 4 to 5] years.... or For the [past 4 or 5] years

(1a) For the past four to five years, I have been traveling to different parts of the whole.

(1b) For the past four or five years, I have been traveling to different parts of the whole.

Which one is correct: "four To five" or "four OR five"? Please help me. Thank you very much for your help.

I guess you mean "world" istead of "whole". "Or" is right. "To" is too precise.
