I didn't understand that phrase.
The definition of 'for the most part' in my dictionary is in general; usually;mostly.
Perhaps I could write:
For the most part, our job consists of 2 shifts during the week.
In general, our job consists of 2 shifts during the week.

For the most part, our job consists of 2 obligatory shifts.

Could someone kindly elaborate on the usage of 'for the most part'?
