Hi Friends,
Can you help me understand this sentence:
"the mind’s task is to take the empirical input and for the generated thoughts to then represent, or mirror the reality, of the exterior world."
I have problem with "for the generated thoughts".
I think, the mind's task is to take the empirical input and then "it is the task of", or "it is for", the generated thought to represent the reality of world.
Is it correct or not?
thanks
I am not convinced that this sentence is perfectly formed in terms of the grammatical connection between the two parts. I would say the intention is for the second part to also be part of the mind's task. In other words, it is the mind's task to bring about this representation or mirroring.
