Are my sentence correct and do they convey about the same meaning?

If it was a fairly recent event I would say:

This site has been updated every day for/during the/its first month.

I would use:

The site had been updated every day for a month after its opening - if I wanted to place this event behind another event that I was talking about.

I don't like 'for the first month of opening' - how long does it take to open?
