For storing/to store

Are these sentences both correct:

1-I took him to the room on the second floor to store tools.
2-I took him to the room on the second floor for storing tools.

I took him to the room which was on the second floor and in which tools were stored.

Gratefully,

Navi.

I find both #1 and #2 ambiguous. I wasn’t sure of the meaning until I read your paraphrase. I would say something like this: I took him to the tool room on the second floor.
