For so it had come about . . .

For so it had come about . . . .

What does "for so" mean here?

I understand what "it had come about" means . . . .

I even understand "so it had come about" as in "and so it had come about"--a concluding statement.

But why put the "for" in front?

Hi,

'For so . . . ' here means basically 'Because . . . '
