Anyone know what kind of sound a goat would make if it were being killed? Let's say, having its throat cut.Thanks?

A goat in distress sounds like a human baby or child crying in pain. Almost EXACTLY like a human baby or child...

However, any creature with it's throat being cut would stop making substantial noise almost immediately. (Unless you're planning on using a rusty butter knife, that is.) You need an intact throat to make noise...and to breathe.

Need to perform a religious sacrifice and not bother your fellow apartment dwellers? Try sacrificing a bunny instead. Bunny are real quiet. In fact, bunny are so quiet you can't even use a bunny as one of the animals when you're singing "Old MacDonald." You know, "Old MacDonald had a farm, e-i-e-i-o. And on that farm he had a bunny, e-i-e-i-o. With a " And at that point you've got nowhere else to go with the song, because bunnies don't make noise.
Lobsters are really quiet too. And they taste even better than bunnies. Try sacrificing a lobster. And then instead of sprinkling Holy Water on it's dead carcass, try drawn butter. You'll be real pleased with a lobster.

P.S. I don't think you have to be farm folk to know it's hard to make noise when you're throat is cut.

Actually, I used to help on the farm with some of the more interesting chores, and while Mom and I were chopping the heads off of chickens, I discovered that a headless chicken can not only run a good distance, but they continue to make a gurgly clucking sound that is pretty creepy.
So, a goat may make some noise during the process of cutting its throat, especially if you're not making an effort to hold it's muzzle closed. Although, logically, the best way to cut a goat's throat is to take it from the side of your dominant hand - I'm a right-hander, so I'd come in from the right side, wrap my left arm over the goat's left flank and put it in a headlock, grabbing it's face near the nostrils, keeping the mouth clamped shut and securing a steady hold. Then I'd come under the goat's throat with my right hand, holding the very sharp knife, and cut across fast and hard.
Several things to consider - any animal will kick and buck on feeling the initial incision in the throat, and goats are hardy little animals. One well-placed hoof, relatively sharp, could pierce fabric and leave a nasty gouge in the flesh. Also, the tendons in a goat's neck are very strong. You might not be able to get through them on first go, so you might have a screaming, bleating, ****** goat on your hands for a couple of minutes.
And the animal rights' people are going to be all over your script.

I think they had a scene like that in the first John Travolta feature, The Devil's Rain (how appropro, considering that this is where Johnnie met Joan Prather, who got him into devil worshipper L. Ron Hubbard's $cientology).
Anyway, if you play the goat soundtrack backward, it's saying "Satan sucks!"

Actually, can make a noise, at least under stress. When the kids were smaller, we had a pet rabbit that usually lived in a cage. We also had (still do) a very gentle, yet playful and high-strung Shelty mix dog who placed high priority on getting near the rabbit whenever she could merely to check it out, sniff it, lick it, see if it would play, whatever. Meant it absolutely no harm.
Often the kids would take the bunny to the fenced back yard and let him hop around a while. On one such occasion, before their mom and I could intervene, they let the dog into the back yard with the bunny, just to see what would happen.
Well, the dog immediately rushed up to the rabbit, tale wagging and the bunny took off like a ... dare I say it ... a scared rabbit. The bunny was a blur, darting around the yard, trying to find any avenue of escape, with the dog chasing after it. And all the while, the bunny emitted a high-pitched squeal. I had to tackle the dog to bring the chase to an end. The poor rabbit had never been so traumatized in its, up till then, very boring life.
But yeah, he made a sound, which surprised all of us.

I mentioned, I think, that I live in Richmond but I have absolutely no goats or the need to slaughter them, had I any.

See the film version of The Tempest for a scene where a goat's throat is cut (it's being killed to be cooked for dinner). My grandfather (on my dad's side) was a goat farmer, and I can attest to its general authenticity.

I was working on a contract in rural Namibia. Some of the african workers clubbed together and bought a goat to have a feast. I asked them if I could watch the process I'm a city boy and I've never seen an animal slaughtered.
They tied the goat to a tree and one of the workers cut a vein in its neck with the point of a penknife. It was quite tough and the goat didn't like it much, but didn't make much of a fuss either. The goat then stood there with blood pouring out of its neck. It didn't seem distressed, but after a while it started staggering and eventually collapsed like someone terminally drunk.
Then they put it upside down on a table. They slit its hide down the legs and across the belly and peeled it off the upper part of the carcass. Then they slit the belly open. I was amazed to see how neatly all the organs are packed together. I've only seen textbook illustrations and I expected the organs to have lots of air space between them.
The workers took the insides out, piled them on the skin, took the carcass away when it was clean, wrapped the organs in the skin and buried the skin. It was very neat and clean, no blood, no flies, no mess. I was impressed. These guys weren't butchers they were construction workers. I guess it's something rural people all learn.

Never heard the sound of it.Before we moved to where we live now we were living in Texas and got the newspaper from here to read. No kidding there was an article about a domestic disturbance right up the road from where we were to move in the newspaper. These people's house and land were a mess! Stuff everywhere. White trash, I guess. They finally moved and someone else moved in and cleaned it all up and built a motorcycle dirt track, but I digress.

The newspaper article said that the sheriff (or deputy) was called cause someone was beating up on someone else and they (the law) went to the door. While they were in the house a goat climbed into the driver's seat of the patrol car. I honestly don't remember what happened next but I'll just bet the goat was practicing its siren sound. I swear.
Now some of you have read about the demise of the calf in the pasture next to me. They have a goat now. It's not a cute little goat. It's a big goat with long horns and it butts everything, especially the pony who takes it out on the horse who can only kick over the pony's head. The pasture has turned into a circus ring. The goat chasing the pony who's chasing the horse who's bucking. The calf is gone.

Also, I was invited to a goat barbecue once and went and it was in suburbia and the police were there when I arrived. It seems that the goat got loose and they chased it up into someone's yard to slaughter it and the people in the house called the police which leads me to believe it was really hollering.
You know Paul and Linda McCartney became vegetarians the day they ate goat in Scotland and were watching their baby goats play outside the window while they ate. "Why are we eating them?" "We love our goats."
