for producing to math, reading, and science performance

Out of 141 nations, a study found the world's greenest, most livable place is Finland ... The Finnish education system got high grades, too, for producing top math, reading, and science performance.

Is it identical to say "making/doing top math, reading, and science performance? Thanks.

I don't like the original. "Producing performance" is not very natural. "For producing to performers in math" may be okay.
