For PhD

Question

I want to directly address my first mail to a professor who has been working in the same field. I dont her and have found her e-mail from a research paper that I used while writing my thesis. I would like to communicate with her for further guidance and available PhD option for me. Want to impress her with first mail. Dont know how to address her, what information should I tell her in my first mail.

If anyone has got anything to say it is welcomed and highly appreciated.

Myself Mr. Ruchit V. Patel, have recently graduated from University of Hertfordshire with MS.c Pharmacology. I found your contact through a research paper which I used while writing up thesis for my masters project. Since I aspire for futhrer study and am looking for guidance for PhD, I thought it would be benificial to communicate with you.

Research paper where I found your contact is with title '' Cis-regulatory variations: A study of SNPs around gene showing cis-linkage in segerating mouse population.''

Title of my project work was Effect of SNPs on the function of transcription factor Brn-3a, which involved using bioninformatics to identify potential SNP and using molecular biology technique to create that mutation in mouse cDNA. Following succesfull creation of mutation further experements would be done.

Purpose of my mail is that I am seeking professors for their guidance where I can enhance my knowledge in neuroscience along with a PhD.
