for or to?

Congratulations, your new e-mail account has been activated and is ready for use

why isn't it written to instead of for?

because i know when we use for after we must get -ing but there is no -ing.

in my opinion it must be to use, am i wrong?

or it should be for usage. if you give me a hand with checking, i will feel happy.

Hello, For use is a correct structure but I can see why you might get confused. If you are thinking of 'use' as a verb then it should be 'to use'. However, in this case it is a noun (in the way that usage is a noun) so for is correct.
