FOR or NO FOR / FOR vs OVER vs IN

Could you please help me make these sentences grammatical and correct please?

1 That would be 30 hours of work to/for only 10 hours of sleep if I worked 10 hours, slept 5 hours, worked 10 hours, slept 5 hours and worked 10 hours.

2 In/Over/For the next 3 days following the operation, you need to be very careful and over the course of the next 2 years, try to eat as healthily as possible.

3 This word doesn't begin to express how mad I am at you.

4 Can you be the brother I've always had (for) the time you have left?

Thank you

1 That would be 30 hours of work to/for only 10 hours of sleep if I worked 10 hours, slept 5 hours, worked 10 hours, slept 5 hours and worked 10 hours. This is a bit awkward and short of necessary information. Why this particular cutoff?

  • Here is one way to phrase this: If I alternate working for 10 hours with sleeping for 5 hours, at the end of 40 hours I will have 30 hours of work to only 10 hours of sleep.
  • 2 In/Over/For the next 3 days following the operation, you need to be very careful and over the course of the next 2 years, try to eat as healthily as possible.
