Here's a dialogue from Light as a Feather s1e1.

C: Do we really need a limo this Saturday? I mean, it's so expensive.

A: Well, for one, it's gonna be hard fitting six people into an Uber. So, yes. Plus I may have someone to impress. (she shows her date's picture to C.)

C: That's your date? She's gorgeous.

A: I know, right? She's my cousin's friend. I've only met her twice but unless I want to pick the scab on the whole Kimberly sitch, I'm basically out of options.

1. Could you please tell me what exactly "for one" means in the second line?

2. As far as I know pick the scab means to be rid of an unwanted group member. But I can't understand what this sentence "unless I want to pick the scab on the whole Kimberly sitch, I'm basically out of options" means. Could you please help me out?

It is short for "for one thing", i.e. she is giving one reason why they need to hire a limo (implication that there might be other reasons too).
