Vocabulary

for memory

Hello! Could you help me, please? I need to say that I have bought a souvenir to remember my travel. Can I say "I bought it for memory"? Or I gave a present to my friend "just for memory"? Thank you!

No, "for memory" doesn't make sense. You could say "for the memories", I suppose, in a particular context. But Rover_KE's suggestion is a good one.
