For Inquiry...

Hi,
I have a question regarding an inquiry. How do we ask a person about details of the process?
I have been asking that person several times, she kept saying it is processing and once we complete it we will contact you. I am just wondering how it is going on. so how can i ask the person for that information. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Lata

If you are completely sure you will not annoy them, then you can say "Could you explain the steps of the process to me?"
