For exercise

"He is moving his arms for exercise/workout."

Is the above natural-sounding or should it be rephrased as "He is exercising/working out by moving his arms." ?

Top answer

He is exercising his arms. Will this work better for you? "Move" just doesn't have what it takes to give the clear image of exercising.
