For cooking / to cook

"I have to blender something for cooking / to cook." I think either way is fine and the meaning is the same. What do you think? Thank you in advance.

I think that 'to cook' indicates that the blended thing is the entire dish. With 'for cooking', it is more likely just one ingredient.

Thank you sir. So do you think that we have to use them strictly differently in conversations? Or either way is acceptable? It's not easy for me to choose right every time I speak English. What do you think?

I think that it is not so important but that the differences I have mentioned do exist for some listeners, so you may be cross-questioned if you use the inappropriate one.

If you want to use the blender, then say either "blend" (as Mr. M showed) or "use the blender" -- but you can't use "blender" as a verb.
