Hello everyone. I have a question.
Regarding the following two sentences:
(A) When we go from one place to another, we tend to do so for as short a time as possible.
(B) When we go from one place to another, we tend to do so as soon as possible.
Which is appropriate to describe a human nature? Can we use (B) to replace (A)? In fact, I don't think (B) is right because the last part of it sounds like, "there's a tendency for us to spend very little time before doing so." What do you think?
Both sentences seem odd, and I am not really sure what tendency you are trying to describe. e. we want the travelling time to be as short as possible?
