'For all who wonder/wondered why the hype...'

Hi all

What might be the difference in meaning if you wrote 'wondered' instead of 'wonder' in this context?

For all who wonder why the hype surrounding Obama's first 100 days, apparently Franklin Roosevelt started this tradition in 1933...

For all who wondered why the hype surrounding Obama's first 100 days, apparently Franklin Roosevelt started this tradition in 1933...

Thanks you

Well the 2nd is odd, because it suggests that all those people are no longer wondering-- which makes it rather pointless to enlighten them now. However, the 2nd sentence would work if, for instance. 'all' referred to people who had written, emailed or telephoned their wonderment beforehand.

I see. Thanks for replying MM. So you would use the 1st one if you are addressing people who didn't ask about it beforehand.
