Here's a sentence. "I'm in disagreement with you as to politics. FOR ALL THE REST, your views are the same as mine." Is there anything wrong with "for all the rest" in this context? If so, how would you say instead? A google search couldn't solve my doubts.

That seems OK to me, but I might make it, "As for all the rest ...."
