For a wedding speech
Can you correct?

My dad was as involved in our weeding, helping with everything as if it was his own. I would like to thank him for all he has done.

Hi, 'As involved' suggests you are comparing him to someone else who as also involved. Maybe you should delete 'as'? The word 'weeding ' suggests you are talking about his skills in the garden.
