Essay & Composition Writing

For a long time, art has been considered an essential part of all cultures in the world. However, nowadays people’s values have changed, and we tend to consider science, technology and business more important than arts. What do you think are the...

The vital of art has been receiving a great deal of public attention. The more the world develops, the fewer people show their interest in art these days. In this essay, I aim to explore this serious phenomenon from various perspectives and bring some effective measures.

To my mind, the origins of the problem come as follows. Firstly, globalization has led people to believe that the future of the world is in the hands of science and technology. As can be seen, emerging technology especially robots of gaining the whole popularity with its cutting-edge and high applicability. So that in my country, during the high school curriculum, some competitions related to music, painting, and design were almost being altered by technological competitions. Secondly, according to, the World Employment and Social Outlook, a software engineer gets a 40% more salary compared to an artist. So unbalanced ratio between expenses and profit makes artists take other jobs in order to maintain a financially healthy life. In a rapidly changing world, the work of art is just relevant to people who are recognized by the masses with outstanding talent and many other multiple skills.

However, there are several initiatives to alleviate this growing trend. First and foremost, schools should conduct some artistic competitions to spark students’ interest as well as allocate a portion of the budget for rewarding students who own perfect performances. In addition, the government could consider having a financial subsidy to open exhibitions free of cost for young artists to exhibit their works, especially traditional artworks that contribute to turning the focus of natives and tourists to the country’s culture and enable artists to concentrate on creating instead winning the bread.

In conclusion, art depreciation must be removed from the young mindset with the support of the government and schools.
